Find your consulate or embassy on the Costa del Sol

It can be hard to know where to look for help when you're abroad. AngloInfo is a fantastic resource for expats living in Spain and has recently contacted us with their list of consulates and embassies - very handy if you need to know about passports, paperwork or legal issues.

Wherever you're from originally, it can be helpful to know about the people who can represent you here in Spain. Practically all countries of the world have officials working in their embassies (which exist to represent the country), and in consular services, which are able to help the countries' visiting and resident nationals.

Have a look in The AngloFILE directory of local English-speaking businesses and services for the relevant contact information in the category Consulates & Embassies.

uSwitch launching in Spain later this year

The Telegraph has announced some good news for British expats in Spain. The sites will offer a full financial comparison and switching service across home utilities and personal finance products, such as mobile phones, broadband services, credit cards and car insurance so we can easily check which providers are cheaper!

YouGoDo.com Activities and Experiences website

If you are looking for something exciting to do on your next holiday or this weekend, then I recommend a visit to YouGoDo.com. It covers over 200 countries, so you can use it to find activities on your doorstep or plan trips around the world. There is a great selection of places to visit all around the Costa del Sol which I didn't even know existed! There’s so much on offer, either search for key words or locations if you know what you want, or visit the Inspiration Page for a selection of the most interesting items.

If you are an Activity Organiser it's free to upload your information and they don't take any commission, so it's an excellent free publicity tool. Visit www.yougodo.com to upload your event.
You can also create a customised activity map showing things to do around your rental property, hotel, restaurant or office. This is a great way of adding exciting, interesting content to your site which will keep visitors coming back for more. I have it on my website if you want to see what it looks like - Shaw Marketing Services.com. Click here to create your map.
