If you type into Google ‘Why Blog?’ you’ll discover 151,000,000 results ... so obviously a lot of people are interested and have considered the question.
Summarising some of these finding from a business and networking perspective suggest that blogs are a great way to: position yourself as an expert in your field, to build more personal business relations between you and your customer, where you can collaborate and create dialogue with other interested parties, where media networks can automatically check what you have to say and what is being said, to act as a resource for knowledge management, to enable you to test ideas, to help you rank higher in search engines and help you get your business noticed. And if you like writing and fiddling around with your computer then they’re quite good fun too.
