New kids classes at Princess Studios

New Hip Hop Class for 4 - 7 year old boys & girls with Shaffik, Mondays at 5pm

Due to popular demand Shaffik will be teaching a hip hop class for 4 - 7 year olds. We soon realized that the younger brothers and sisters of Shaffik's existing students were all desperate to learn hip hop too.

Get your groove on! Class starts Monday May 3rd & all 4 - 7 year olds are welcome.

Junior Cheerleading, Fridays at 5pm
Caitlin, our new instructor from the UK is heading up the Junior Cheerleading classes. With an amazing dance repertoire, particularly in ballroom she was involved with the # 1 TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing. 'The cheerleading classes are a fun & contemporary dance class, and of course the kids get to use the pom poms. Our hope is that eventually we can build a junior squad to accompany our senior cheerleading squad to support the Marbella Sharks (American Football Team) when the new season kicks off later this year.

The classes are for ages 5 - 11 and no dance experience is necessary. Kids will have fun, learn some cool routines, build self-confidence, improve posture and make new friends

Performing Arts, Saturdays at 10am, ages 7+
For those kids that want to learn more about the movie, TV & theatre industry, look no further than Princess Studios. With individual specialist instructors covering dance, music & drama we will even have specialist guest appearances from the industry.

Our studio team of core instructors includes:

Marisa (dance & drama) - Saddler's Wells, London Palladium Theatre, World Latin Dance Championships

Kirsten (singing) - Shepherd's Bush Empire, backing vocalist for songwriters for Kylie's 'Can't get you out of my head' & Spiller Groovejets 'If this ain't love'

These classes are great for confidence building & developing performance skills. Most importantly our classes are creative, engaging and fun for all!

Don't miss our special class on Saturday May 22nd at 10am:

Princess Studios welcomes Judy Jarvis, BAFTA nominated make up artist for TV & the movies. Kids & their mums are welcome to attend this special class where they will get to learn from a professional make up artist to the stars. Class will include a talk, questions & answers and the kids will create their very own 'Thriller' make up under expert guidance!

Guidelines to positive collaboration

Check out this useful blog post from Jason Collins about the importance of collaboration for a business and guidelines of how to collaborate successfully. He says:

"Collaboration involves bringing together skills, knowledge, expertise and experience into ever increasing decentralised teams to improve and deliver results. The underlying requirement is to recognise the benefits that can be gained and set the ground rules, for building effective collaboration. In business, we often have many different hats on, we all have expert areas individually and corporately however, we cannot be the best at everything. This is a fact, we need to recognise the need to share our skills and ideas with others at times, to deliver a project, turn around a poor performing business or ultimately ensure we make a profit. Collaboration can prove a very effective tool for business, it is a means to seek assistance in the marketplace and increase your competitiveness. Sharing knowledge and expertise should not be seen in a negative light, it is an opportunity for your and your business to learn and work with others."

L.I.V.E. Charity is organising a Children’s Fayre on Saturday 15th in the lovely shaded ‘Parque Petanca’, Avenida de EspaƱa, Calahonda.

“We always try to create a fun, family oriented environment to our fundraising events” says Keith Spitalnick, Chairman of the organisation. “After a long, wet winter, what better way to raise money for those less fortunate than a family fun day"

There will be lots going on for all the family to enjoy; bouncy castle, face painting, games and activities, great prizes to win, entertainers and live music throughout the day and food and drink. There will also be a variety of stalls of children-related products to browse as well as a jumble sale and second hand toy stall.

Entrance to the Fayre is free of charge.

If you have a prize you would like to donate, jumble or second hand toys we can sell or are interested in taking a stand, please contact Nicola Erlich on 616399382 or email info@live-spain.org

All proceeds go to the charity L.I.V.E (http://www.live-spain.org/) which is a local registered charity working with the local Children’s Home in Malaga.

Please do come along and join us. It’s going to be a great day out!
