New kids activity website launched

We have been informed about a new website called Kidsinmarbella.com, which has been put together by two Mums on the Costa del Sol who want to share their knowledge and experiences with other families. The website provides a wide range of information on activities and ideas on how to keep your kids entertained, in both English and Spanish. You can also have your say, as they would like to hear from parents who have recommendations for their favorite places to go. The activities range from child friendly beaches, places to eat to local parks, playgrounds and sporting activities, as well as the usual big attractions you would expect to see. I used to work at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the UK and also within the Spanish accountancy environment for several years. I am one of the very few Spanish-Nationals to possess a Chartered Accountancy qualification from the UK and who understands both systems so well. Our team is made up of people who come from different backgrounds and have lived and worked both in Spain and the UK. The diversity of our people allows us to understand our clients, their business and their expectations regardless of whether they are Spanish or British.

Likes and Dislikes:
I like “getting things done” and dislike “excuses” not to get things done.

Always take the opportunity to meet new people; you never know what may come from that connection.

Why you love living in Spain:
It is my home country; I like Marbella particularly because I can enjoy living in the sunshine whilst living and working UK style. I lived in England for many years and I enjoy being able to pick and mix the things I like most about both cultures.

I love the buzz of working with great enthusiastic people, especially those that exude positivity and want to have fun doing so! I hate negative people, who feel the world owes them a living: I say just get on with it!

Top networking/business tip:
What you put your focus on is what you’ll get … So if you think a business meeting might be difficult and you won’t get the business it’s highly likely that it will be true! So, be positive; do your research on the client (if new) and overall the 5Ps – prior preparation prevents poor performance: so rehearse and be prepared to win that business! You can do it.

Why you love living in Spain:
Lifestyle, sun, fun and to be close to the sea and the mountains and to be surrounded by (generally!) likeminded fun individuals.

I like positive proactive people and sunny Spain, I dislike rain, negative people and ironing!

Be organised! I am an obsessive list maker and find it really helps me to stay on top of things and meet deadlines. Once you stop being organised then productivity and efficiency go out of the window.

Why you love living in Spain:
I don’t know why so many people are down on Spain, I think it’s an amazing place. I love the food, the language, the people and of course the climate. I think the Costa del Sol is a great place to mix business with pleasure.
