Shaktimat promoting health and wellbeing

The Shaktimat is a foam mat covered in 230 plastic buttons with 27 spikes each. The mat is based on the principle of the bed of nails that has been used in India for relaxation exercises, meditation and yoga for thousands of years. The mat is very simple and easy to use and doesn’t hurt. Just place the Shaktimat on a soft surface and use between 20 – 40 minutes a day for pain relief and many other benefits.

Recommended for:- Lower back, sciatic nerve and leg problems.- Runner’s knee.- Digestive problems.- Use on feet to stimulate reflexive zones.- Grinding teeth.- Depression.- Insomnia- Cellulite.- Migraine.- High blood pressure.- Neck problems.
It is said that the pressure from the acupressure mat activates the production of endorphins. Endorphins give pain relief and a sense of physical well-being. Another substance which is probably also released is called oxytocin, sometimes called "the love hormone" or "the peace and calm hormone". Oxytocin produces relaxation; you wind down and find it easier to fall asleep.
